Memorial Hall, at Harvard University, was one of our very first projects. Harvard University purchased 650 Edison chairs for this installation. The Edison chair by Eustis Chair is a durable reproduction of the chair used by Thomas Edison for his 1878 New Jersey laboratory where he invented the incandescent light bulb. Harvard University chose this chair for their $28 million restoration of Memorial Hall, creating what is arguably the most beautiful college dining hall in America. The Edison Chair is offered only in American Ash, and can be stained to match most other hardwoods.
