Eustis Chair would like to welcome our newest intern, Brigid, to the team. Let’s learn a little more about her and why she wanted to join our team.
Brigid is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She graduated with a double major in English and Communication with a Professional Writing and Technical Communication certificate. While at UMass, Brigid was a member of the UMass Beekeeping Club, which kept the bees that pollinated the horticulture gardens.
When she wasn’t caring for the well-being of pollinators, she could be found helping with the technical aspects of theater. More specifically, she particularly loved doing sound design. She was a proud fiction editor for the student-run literary magazine The Jabberwocky for the 2020 and 2021 editions.
Some of her hobbies include baking and gardening. In the photo above, she is proudly pictured with her beloved Little Fiddle Tree, one of her many well-loved plants.
She was excited about the opportunity to join the Eustis Chair team after learning about their dedication to sustainability. Additionally, when working as a waitress at wedding events, she has had her fingers crushed in many chairs. As a result, there is a particular place in her heart for a well-designed stacking chair. Her favorite Eustis Chair model is the Rose Reading Room Chair, featured in the New York Public Library.
Welcome, Brigid!
