Traditional School and College Chairs
The Fairfield chair is an adaptation of the styles of Wright, Greene and Stickley from the Arts & Crafts movement of the early 1900s. We love re-creating historical chairs as part of our line. True to that period of time, the box-frame design and mortise and tenon construction combine to produce an elegant chair. It is durable enough to withstand decades of rigorous use, due to our strong joinery. The original Fairfield chair is built of red oak, but it can be made in other hardwoods. Like most of our chairs, the Fairfield is also available with a cushioned seat. Furthermore, the upholstery is completely customizable in any fabric or leather to match the aesthetic and design of your space.
The Fairfield
The Fairfield chair is one of our more unique library and classroom chairs with slightly curved back slats, done for both aesthetic and comfort. The bottom stretchers harken back to traditional chair designs, making it superficially indistinguishable from the classrooms of old. Of course, our modern joinery makes the difference. You can expect the Fairfield to last for decades.
