Public Library Chair
Donars officially opened the Robert and Rose Skillman branch of the Detroit Public Library today. This elegant Arts & Crafts era library was made possible by a generous bequest from the Skillman family. Better yet, the new library features a custom chair designed and built by Eustis Chair. Therefore, we named the chair after the Skillman family. The Skillman Chair is made of Quartersawn White Oak. Furthermore, it features the pinned mortise & tenon construction used at the turn of the 20th century.
Our mission is to create beautiful and durable chair and insure that our hardwood chairs would endure for generations. The Skillman Chair is the perfect library chair. Moreover, it fits well in the Detroit Public Library because of its inherent elegance and comfort. We love projects that allow up to expand our line of chairs while ensure our customers are happy and excited about our brand new designs. We hope to work with the Detroit Public Library in the near future!
